WRITE

This page is about screenwriting in an Australian context.

Of course some Australian screenwriters cross international borders, such as Craig Pearce who co-wrote Romeo + Juliet and The Great Gatsby with the great Baz. Rohan Jones, for example, wrote a film realised in Spanish, Hermano.

But most Australian writers write for Australian producers and have their home territory as their first concern, if only in order to attract script development from the local funding bodies such as Screen Australia.
